Highly collectable and loaded with history this German Political Globe with Bakelite Stand shows old borders, such as CCCP/ USSR and former Peking, today known as Beijing, plus many more.
This globe was issued on July 6th 1957 by Professor Dr. Arthur Krause, famous West Prussian Geographer employed by Geographical Society in Bremen, Germany (Serial number DDR Nr. 1687/8.)
The globe is offered in good used vintage condition with few track marks and tiny pin holes, mainly on the top part, probably from a Caliper measuring tool of somebody retracing Dr. Arthur Krauses research trips across Russia, Siberia and Alaska. (See image)
